SOUTHERN PINES – There’s something inviting about this place with the circular drive, and all the more in the evening when you can see the soft lamps emitting a yellow hue from the Georgian-style hotel windows.

There’s a warmth.

“Mid Pines has history and rich traditions,” Haresh Tharani says about Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club that has been a part of the Sandhills since 1921. “It has the right bones.”
